Training Objective
The IR(A) Modular Course (SE) at Albanian International Air Academy (AIAA) prepares pilots for professional IFR operations in accordance with EASA PART-FCL regulations.
This training develops the theoretical knowledge and practical instrument flying skills required to operate safely beyond IMC conditions and successfully complete the EASA IR(A) theoretical exams and skill test.
Upon completion, pilots are qualified to conduct Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) flights, expanding their operational capability and career opportunities in aviation.

The program prepares you for the EASA IR(A) theoretical examinations and the official instrument rating skill test, ensuring you meet the highest European aviation safety standards.

Theoretical & Procedural Training Includes:
IFR flight planning using aircraft flight manual data and ATS documentation
Transition from VFR to IFR after departure
Standard Instrument Departures (SID) and Standard Instrument Arrivals (STAR)
En-route IFR procedures and airspace operations
Holding and waiting procedures
Instrument approaches to published MDA(H) and DA(H)
Missed approach procedures
Landings from instrument approaches, including circling approaches
Aircraft handling characteristics under IFR
Normal, abnormal, and emergency IFR procedures
Practical Training Includes:
20 hours of flight training (aircraft)
30 hours of FNPT simulator training
