Training Objective
The Private Pilot License PPL(A) is the first and most important step toward starting your aviation journey. This internationally recognized license allows you to fly single-engine aeroplanes with a maximum take-off weight of up to 5,700 kg for non-commercial purposes.
With a PPL(A), you can operate aircraft for personal travel, leisure flying, and time-building, while developing the fundamental skills required for advanced professional pilot training. The course provides comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical flight instruction in accordance with international aviation standards.
At AIAA – Albanian International Air Academy, our PPL(A) training program builds a strong foundation in flight safety, aircraft handling, navigation, meteorology, and air law — preparing you for the next steps toward CPL and ATPL certification.
Obtained Qualification
Upon successful completion of the training, the graduate will receive a private pilot license PPL(A) along with a class rating for single-engine piston aircraft SEP(L), which entitles the holder to act as pilot-in-command (PIC) without compensation, exclusively for private purposes.
Course Description
- The PPL(A) theoretical training consists of the following subjects:
- aviation law,
- human – performance and limitations,
- communication,
- meteorology,
- flight rules,
- operational procedures,
- flight planning,
- general airplane knowledge and navigation.
- After successfully completing the theoretical classes, we can move on to the desired practical part. The practical part is carried out on the basis of a training program that includes a minimum of 45 hours of training in the air, in accordance with the PART-FCL regulations.
Theoretical training – 100 hours
Practical training – 45 hours
- Minimum age 16 years old
- Valid medical certificate, class 1 or 2
- ICAO English Certificate level 4 minimum
