Training Objective
The objective of this training is to assess and refresh the pilot’s proficiency in the Single Engine Piston (Land) class, with particular emphasis on flight safety, procedural accuracy, and correct aircraft handling techniques.
The Single Engine Piston (Land) SEP(L) Rating is an essential qualification that allows pilots to legally operate single-engine piston aircraft. Course Description
The scope of refresher training is determined individually, based on the pilot’s check flight assessment, overall flight experience, and the length of time the rating has been expired.
Recommended training guidelines are as follows:
Less than 3 months expired: The Approved Training Organisation (ATO) may determine that no additional training is required.
3 months to 1 year expired: Minimum of 2 refresher training sessions.
1 to 3 years expired: Minimum of 3 refresher training sessions.
More than 3 years expired: Completion of the initial SEP(L) training syllabus (minimum 5 flight hours).
All training is conducted in accordance with EASA regulations and focuses on restoring full operational proficiency, procedural accuracy, and flight safety standards.
